Samsung Galaxy Fold , Huawei Mate X … there are several proposals in terms of folding smartphones  that come to us from the leading manufacturers. However, today a new participant has entered that has made us all turn our heads towards him. The  Motorola Razr has managed to unify the most nostalgic past with the most hopeful future and it has done so in a terminal that is not going to be cheap, but it does look like it will be very practical.

It was 2004 when  Motorola’s RAZR V3  conquered the market. One of the most iconic mobile phones of all time is back, and it does so by incorporating the very latest: a  6.2-inch flexible pOLED screen that can be folded so that the terminal fits in the palm of the hand.

This display features a  2,142 x 876 px resolution and a 21: 9 aspect ratio when unfolded. If we want to use at half its size, we also have a small  2.7-inch gOLED secondary screen, 600 x 800 px resolution and 4: 3 aspect ratio . This panel can be very handy for viewing and responding to quick notifications.

In its guts it mounts a set that does not aspire to the most premium range, but still enjoys an acceptable balance of features: Snapdragon 710, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. 

As for the photographic section, it mounts a single  16 MP camera behind it (f / 1.7) and 5 MP (f / 2.0) on the front. The operating system in front of this 2020 Motorola Razr is  Android 9.0. 

Finally, the device comes powered by a  2,510 mAh battery , which generates some doubts taking into account the figures we are currently used to. In case you are not comfortable at the end of the day, it has a  15W TurboPower fast charge. As a curiosity, it only supports eSIM .

Availability and price of the foldable Motorola Razr

The  foldable Motorola Razr will be released in January 2020 for an official retail price of $ 1,499 . Obviously, its advantage is not focused on the specs, since for this price and the set of features that we have mentioned above the relationship is absurdly unbalanced.

However, the key to its success lies entirely in its  design . Motorola has managed to develop a folding smartphone  that is really practical when it comes to reducing size when we are not using it. This is the solution that we really expected, however, the imbalance between features and price can play a trick on sales.
