Neffos C7s, a new version even more affordable than the original
At the end of 2018, the TP-Link mobile company launched into the Spanish market an entry-level mobile that placed a lot of emphasis on its camera for selfies , called Neffos C7 , which we had the opportunity to check here at Gizlogic. Today, almost two years after its premiere, the manufacturer has decided to present a new version of this terminal, baptized as the TP-Link Neffos C7s , which is still more affordable than the original device, something that is evident when looking directly at its specifications and its price of around 100 euros.
However, not all the changes are cuts , the design has been slightly improved and the Android version has also been updated to a newer one, but not as recent as we would like . If you are interested in getting to know this affordable terminal in depth, we invite you to continue reading.

Simple and functional design
The TP-Link Neffos C7s updates the look of the original model by using modern design lines , such as a slimmer bottom frame and a pill-shaped rear camera. However, it did not do much in favor of changing the screen itself or incorporating a notch or hole for the selfie camera, instead we have a typical thick frame that houses this and other sensors.
If we look at the screen, we will notice that it is half an inch smaller than its predecessor, 5.45 inches to be precise. However, this time it sports an 18: 9 aspect ratio and HD + resolution of 1,440 x 720 pixels , as well as a density of 295 pixels per inch and a brightness level of 420 nits . The above mentioned represents a slight improvement that brings the design of the Neffos C7s up to date. It is worth mentioning that the screen has 2.5D glass covering the panel.
It is also worth mentioning that the terminal has dimensions of size of 147.5 x 71.8 x 9.1 millimeters along with a weight of 156 grams. Also, the body is made of polycarbonate on the back and uses an outdated Micro-USB cable for charging and data transfer.
It is important to note that, unlike the original TP-Link Neffos C7, this new version lacks a fingerprint reader , which is a shame in our opinion, especially since many terminals in this same price range already have one.
Hardware and Features : Neffos C7s, a new version even more affordable than the original
At the hardware level there is not much to talk about, we are facing a budget terminal that barely uses a Spreadtrum SC9863A chip , which is an eight-core processor at a maximum 1.6Ghz that is paired with an IMG GE8322 GPU . The combo is complemented by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage as in the original model (Expandable up to 128GB via Micro-SD).
In this sense, we can expect a slight improvement in CPU performance compared to the 2018 model, but nothing exuberant or to brag about, although on paper it is enough to satisfy the needs of the average user who only seeks to be connected, visit social networks, surf the web and play the odd Android casual game.
And speaking of Android, the version that comes pre-installed with the Neffos C7s is Android 9 Pie , which, although it is much more recent than Android 7 Nougat (the one present in the original C7), is obviously a year behind the actual.
Returning to the subject of Hardware, there is still an element that we have not addressed: the battery, which unfortunately only has a capacity of 2,600mAh , something well below what other popular low-end terminals currently offer, on top of that, it is It is a cut compared to the 2018 version.
In terms of connectivity, the TP-Link Neffos C7s offers the usual alongside an added bonus. In this regard, it has 4G LTE, Wi- Fi b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS / A-GPS, but also has a high-standard Wi- Fi antenna design , EMC technology and a baseband chip of high performance . Thanks to this set, it is possible to make the signal stronger, faster and more stable.
Cameras : Neffos C7s, a new version even more affordable than the original
On a photographic level there is nothing to brag about, since the Neffos C7s has a lower configuration than its predecessor, being equipped with an 8MP rear camera with autofocus , intelligent scene recognition, beauty mode and HDR. For its part, the front camera stays at 5MP , but at least it consists of LED flash and Bokeh effect through software.
