The monthly update that Samsung launches to its terminals has brought some interesting news this June, especially for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 / S9 +, smartphones that have received the night photography mode seen for the first time in the Galaxy S10. Going into details, the night mode is included with the firmware version N960FXXU3CSF9 , which arrives via OTA along with the latest security patch for the month of June (2019). Additionally, this month’s changelog also tells us that the overall performance of the camera has been improved. This update has a weight of only 703.98MB and should soon be reaching all users of this device.
This mode is designed to improve shooting in low light conditions or at night , as the name implies. To use it, simply touch it in the camera options, although when it was released on the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 + , it was an automatic function that was activated when a dark scene was detected. However, due to criticism Samsung had to place it as an optional mode that must be activated manually.
The second novelty that Samsung’s flagships of 2018 have received, has been a QR code reader incorporated into the camera app , in this way it is not necessary to resort to Bixby Vision or third-party applications in any case.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 features a 12MP + 12MP dual main camera with optical image stabilization, 2X optical zoom, PDAF, auto-HDR, and LED flash. Now the set benefits from a function capable of improving night shots and expanding its possibilities.
