Nokia is one of those smartphone brands that never seems to die despite its ups and downs, but be that as it may, the brand has quietly announced a new smartphone with modest specs, the Nokia C2 , a pocket-sized device that comes with Android  Go  on board. , which tells us half the story.

The Nokia C2 is nothing to brag about, but it’s not bad either, it has a plastic construction with a single rear camera accompanied by an LED flash. Likewise, its 5.7-inch screen exhibits an HD + resolution and does not have any type of notch or perforation for the front camera, only a typical thick upper edge where several sensors and a call headset are housed. 

Nokia C2, the essentials and nothing else

The Nokia C2 has a size dimensions of 154.8 x 75.59 x 8.85 mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs only 161 g. The phone comes in cyan and black color presentations. Interestingly, it has a dedicated button for the Google assistant and is charged through an outdated Micro USB port, in addition, it retains the  3.5mm Jack audio port  for headphones. 

In terms of hardware there is not much to talk about, after all, this is a terminal with Android Go  (based on Android 9 Pie). Going into detail, the Nokia C2 is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage . The latter is expandable up to a maximum of 64GB via Micro-SD. 

We cannot forget to mention that it is powered by a 2,800mAh battery (enough for a device in this range) and that it has 4G LTE connectivity, which is an improvement compared to its predecessor. The rest of the connections are: Wi-Fi 4, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS.

Availability and price 

Nokia has only made the existence of the device public, but has not yet confirmed the details of its launch . However, it is expected to cost close to 100 euros.
