OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, premium devices with Hasselblad cameras

A new day, a new flagship, or better two; today we meet the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro , which we had been waiting for a long time. Be that as it may, here are the specifications of the latest OnePlus terminals, which are showcased with Hasselblad cameras for an unparalleled photographic experience.

The new OnePlus flagships do not renew their style much, although that is not a bad thing, because if it is not broken, why fix it? In this sense, both terminals outline a glass back cover, an aluminum frame and “Alert Slider” on the right side.

Here begins the differences between these smartphones; Although both have an Optic AMOLED panel with a built-in fingerprint reader , it is larger in the OnePlus 9 Pro, where it reaches a 6.7-inch diagonal and a QHD resolution (3,168 × 1,440), while in the OnePlus 9 standard remains at 6.55 inches and FHD (2,400 × 1,080). Additionally, the Pro’s display outlines curved edges, something the base model simply doesn’t have.

Despite these differences, both devices feature a 120Hz refresh rate and feature sRGB Display 3 technology that benefits the color spectrum. However, the refresh rate is adaptive in the case of the OnePlus 9 Pro, so there you have another small difference to note.

To no one’s surprise, the IP68 certification against water and dust makes an appearance in these mobiles.

Snapdragon 888 on board: OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, premium devices with Hasselblad cameras

Both the OnePlus 9 and its older brother can boast of having the best mobile processor of the moment, nothing more nor less than the Snapdragon 888 , which is accompanied by the Snapdragon X60 modem , which provides 5G connectivity to the whole. Additionally, we will find 8GB of LPPDR5 RAM and 128GB of internal storage in both versions, but you can also choose a variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM if you want more.

A 4,500mAh battery powers both smartphones and is infused with 65W Warp Charge fast charging , which promises to charge the battery to 100% in just 29 minutes. But that’s not all, since thanks to the 50W wireless charging , you can do the same in 43 minutes, but without the need for cables. It is worth mentioning that the charger included in the box is 45W.

Obviously the operating system of turn is Android 11 with the popular OxygenOS user interface from OnePlus. At the connectivity level, it has everything we could ask for from a mobile: 5G SA / NSA , Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 aptX, NFC and GPS.

Cameras

OnePlus has surprised us by announcing its collaboration with the legendary manufacturer of professional cameras Hasselblad , who has tuned the photographic solution that we see presented in the OnePlus 9 series.

For starters, the OnePlus 9 has a triple rear camera, with a 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor as the spearhead . Its second lieutenant is a 50MP IMX766 that acts as a wide angle and lastly, it consists of a 2MP monochrome sensor.

On the other hand, the Pro model ups the ante with a 48MP IMX789 main sensor and adds an 8MP telephoto camera to the set. Both the wide-angle and monochrome sensors of the base model are present here. Leaving that aside, both phones have a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor as a selfie camera.

It goes without saying that OnePlus promises us spectacular photographic features as a result of its alliance with Hasselblad, such as 8K video recording (or 4K at 120FPS), color calibration for photos, optical image stabilization, DOL-HDR and much more.

Availability and price of the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro
