Oppo A55, another 5G mid-range that opts for the Dimensity 700
Oppo just add another midrange terminal to its showcase, Oppo A55 , who provides connectivity 5G for a very affordable price relies on the chip Dimensity 700 of MediaTek as its engine. It’s a solid mid-range option with balanced performance and a design reminiscent of the A90 series.
Time to meet the Oppo A55 : Oppo A55, another 5G mid-range that opts for the Dimensity 700
With a later design recycled from other mobiles of the company, the Oppo A55 mounts a 6.5-inch LCD screen with HD + resolution (1,600 x 720 pixels) , somewhat disappointing considering its price. In the same way, the refresh rate is not surprising either (60Hz) and the notch in the form of a drop of water is also somewhat obsolete.
As you can see in the images, the fingerprint reader is positioned on the right edge, sharing space with the start button.
Under the hood lies the aforementioned Dimensity 700 , a competent mid-range SoC with 5G network support , which is accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, this being the only configuration available. However, it is possible to expand the internal storage up to 1TB via Micro-SD.
Powering the terminal we will get a respectable 5,000mAh battery , which is equipped with a standard 10W charge through its USB type C port.
And how could it be otherwise, the operating system is Android 11 along with the company’s user interface: ColorOS 11.1. Although it is a 5G device, it lacks NFC , which again disappoints in its market segment.
Moving on to the photographic field, we will find a triple camera headed by a 13MP main sensor with f / 2.2 aperture. It is accompanied by a 2MP (f / 2.4) frame camera and a 2MP (f / 2.0) depth sensor. Finally, the front camera stays at 8MP (f / 2.0).
Availability and price
The Oppo A55 is already on sale from Oppo’s own distribution channels in China, including major online retailers. It costs 1,599 yuan, which is roughly $ 245 or € 200 to change .
There is still no information that points to a launch in other markets, so we will have to wait.
