Oppo Reno4 F, the most affordable of the family runs out of 5G

Oppo  continues to add members to the Reno4 family, and just when we thought that the  Oppo  Reno4 SE 5G was the most affordable version, the company presents the  OPPO Reno4 F , an even cheaper model, but that for better or for worse it renounces connectivity 5G and is left with a MediaTek chip   (Helio P95) clearly 4G.

In terms of design, there are many similarities to the  Reno4 SE 5G , starting with the square-shaped camera photo module, and including the glossy finish cut into uneven halves on the rear cover. Likewise, the 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution and 60Hz refresh rate remains unchanged, and the same applies to the fingerprint reader built into the panel.

However, this is where the similarities to the Reno4 SE end, as the Dimensity  720 chip  has been replaced by a cheaper Helio P95 , but unfortunately not featuring 5G connectivity. In terms of memory, there is only one configuration: 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage .

The battery present in the OPPO Reno4 F is also cut off; we are talking about a capacity of 4,000mAh (300mAh less than the Reno4 SE) and a fairly standard 18W charging power. What does not change is the Color OS 7.2 operating system based on Android 10.

It is also worth mentioning that the OPPO Reno4 F renounces the NFC connectivity seen in its older brothers, a move that was to be expected.

The photographic section has changed, but it is still very formidable. At the rear we have a quad camera headed by a 48MP main sensor , an 8MP wide-angle lens and two 2MP monochrome sensors. Meanwhile, the front is home to a pair of 16MP and 2MP cameras for   high-quality selfies .

Availability and price

At the moment the OPPO Reno4 F has been announced only in Indonesia, where it is sold for a price equivalent to 249 euros when making the currency conversion. If it will be launched in other territories and markets is still unknown, so we will have to wait and see what happens.
