‘Paraíso’, much more than a Spanish ‘Stranger Things’
Movistar + premieres this Friday its commitment to science fiction, a series for the whole family that recreates the Spain of the 90s
An unsolved mystery in a small Levantine town, science fiction, teenagers looking for answers and, in the background, the nineties. They are the strengths of ‘Paraíso’ , Movistar + ‘s first and ambitious commitment to the fantasy genre and whose central figures are Macarena García, Iñaki Ardanaz, Gorka Otxoa and the young actors Pau Gimeno, Cristian López, León Martínez, Héctor Gozalbo , María Romanillos and Patricia Iserte . Produced in collaboration with The Mediapro Studio, the one that launches the Telefónica platform today is, says its director, Fernando González Molina, “the series that I would have liked to see at the age of fifteen, a product born from the illusion of telling a fantastic story that will connect with ‘Paraíso’, much more than a Spanish ‘Stranger Things’
