National Police opposition requirements: Prepare the opposition to the National Police and get your place

To be able to present yourself to the National Police examinations you must

• Have Spanish nationality and be  of legal age (between  18 and 65 years old ). 
• Have as minimum studies the Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and the B driving license .
• Not be disqualified from working in the public administration or convicted of malicious crimes .
• Not suffer from any physical or mental limitation  that impede your functional or operational capacities to perform as a National Police.

In addition, you must acquire the commitment to  carry weapons  and measure at least  1.65 meters  (man) and  1.60  (woman).

Tests to be a national policeman

To get a permanent position as a national police officer, you must pass the competitive examination session, which consists of 4 tests:

• Physical tests
• Written knowledge tests
• Psychotechnical test and personal interview
• Medical examination

Requirements to appear for national police competitions

In order to take the national police tests, you will have to meet the following requirements:

• Have Spanish nationality and be of legal age.
• Minimum height in men of 1.65 meters and 1.60 in women.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Accept the commitment to bear arms and not have been convicted of a malicious crime, nor separated from the service of the State, the Autonomous, Local or Institutional Administration, nor be disqualified from the exercise of public functions.
• Have a driving license B.
• Not having a physical defect or illness that incapacitates them for the performance of the position.

National Police Oppositions Agenda

The syllabi to prepare you for the police examinations will vary depending on the call. The syllabus is divided into three main blocks:  Legal Sciences, Social Sciences ,  Technical-Scientific Sciences .

For the calls of the national police in 2021, 2,328 places have been summoned according to the publication of the BOE .

The national police are in charge of maintaining order and security of the citizenry, ensuring compliance with the laws, helping and protecting people who need it. In addition, they must investigate crimes and prevent criminal acts from being committed, among other functions.

The salary of a national policeman varies widely based on scale, seniority, and other variations. It is made up of a base salary to which supplements, extraordinary payments, trienniums, shifts, etc. are added. The general average salary of a basic scale national police officer will be approximately 1,500 euros per month.
