The young Chinese smartphone brand, Realme, presented the new Realme X50 Pro 5G on February 24 , a considerably improved version of the model launched in China during the month of January. It is a flagship designed to compete in the high range, which bets on raw power and a price that can still be considered as affordable compared to other brands.

The first thing that catches the attention of the Realme X50 Pro 5G is its 6.44-inch AMOLED screen , which has a Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Likewise, it offers us compatibility with the HDR10 standard and integrates a fingerprint reader.  

As can be seen in the images, the front cameras are arranged on a tiny pill-shaped module. Here we can find a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 sensor with f / 2.5 aperture accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 105 ° field of view and f / 2.2 aperture.

The Snapdragon 865 5G platform is obviously the option chosen to power this terminal and is complemented by 6GB, 8GB and 12GB of RAM with storage options of 128GB and 256GB (UFS 3.0). However, it lacks a Micro-SD slot, so the internal memory is not expandable.  

The Realme X50 Pro 5G is powered by a 4,200 mAh battery that supports  65W SuperDart fast charging technology  . According to the manufacturer, this technology can charge the battery in just 35 minutes, but it also supports VOOC 4.0 30W charging and USB PD. Additionally, the charger that comes with the device package is more efficient and smaller than existing Super VOOC 2.0 chargers. 

To keep temperatures under control, the Realme X50 Pro uses a  steam cooling system. 

The operating system that comes on board is Android 10 in conjunction with the company’s new custom interface, Realme UI. Moving on to the topic of connectivity, this is a 5G mobile with support for Dual-SIM , as well as the latest wireless standards, including  Wi- Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-frequency GPS, NFC and USB-C. However, it lacks a 3.5mm audio jack . 

Cameras 

The rear panel of the Realme X50 Pro 5G has four vertically aligned cameras. It consists of a 64-megapixel main lens with f / 1.8 aperture , a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 20x hybrid zoom support and f / 2.5 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 119 ° field of view and f aperture. /2.3 and finally a 2 megapixel portrait lens with f / 2.4 aperture. 

Availability and price of the Realme X50 Pro 5G 

The Realme X50 Pro 5G is already on sale in India through  Flipkart  and the company’s website, but it will arrive in Spain and the rest of Europe in April for the following prices:

• 8GB + 256GB version: 669 euros 
• 12GB + 256GB version: 749 euros
