The long-awaited presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series has taken place, and we already passed a brief review of the base model, so now it is the turn of the Galaxy S21 +, which occupies the position of the middle brother in the new lineup. It should be noted that it is virtually the same  Galaxy S21 , but with a larger screen, larger battery and a back cover made of glass.

We will start with the most noticeable difference between the two terminals: the screen. In this sense, the Samsung Galaxy S21 + has a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a FullHD + resolution  of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels . However, the most interesting thing here is the dynamic refresh rate of 120Hz. 

Like the standard model, this one offers Eye Comfort Shield blue light filter technology  , IP68 certification, ultrasonic fingerprint reader and more, but unlike it, it has a glass back cover protected by  Gorilla Glass Victus .

In terms of hardware, there are not many differences, with the exception of two small details that we will delve into later. That said, the Samsung Galaxy S21 + is powered by  Samsung’s Exynos 2100 chip  , but as you may know, in America it consists of the Snapdragon 888 instead. Regardless, the memory configurations are the same: 8GB of RAM plus 128 / 256GB of internal storage. 

The first difference is found in the battery, which has grown from 4,000mAh in the standard model to 4,800mAh in the Samsung Galaxy S21 + . For its part, the fast charging of 25W, wireless of 15W and reverse of 9W are maintained. 

The connectivity options of the Samsung Galaxy S21 + are the same as those of its younger brother, but with the difference that the Plus adds Ultrawide Band technology to the equation. This enables smarthings- related functions  , such as using the mobile as a digital key for the vehicle. 

Interestingly, the photographic setup of the Galaxy S21 + does not improve the stakes of the S21. In this sense, the camera is composed of a  12MP  (f / 2.2) ultra-wide sensor with a 120 ° degree field of view, a 12MP dual-pixel autofocus camera with OIS (f / 1.8) and, for Lastly, a 64MP  f / 2.0 telephoto lens with OIS, PDAF, and 3x hybrid optical zoom. 

In the same way, the selfie camera   is about 10MP, has a pixel size of 1.22µm and a field of view of 80 ° degrees.  

Availability and price 

The Samsung Galaxy S21 + will be on sale from January 29 with a price of 1,059 euros for the 128GB version, meanwhile, the 256GB variant will cost 1,109 euros to start.
