Samsung’s screen of the future is not foldable according to these renders
The problems with the Samsung Galaxy Fold and the lag of the Huawei Mate X have caused the initial craze for folding screens to have passed a bit. When we still can not even get our hands on these panels, we are already beginning to see renderings on the screen of the future of Samsung . It also increases its size when we want it, but with a different system than we have seen so far.
Retractable? Expansible? How would you define the screen of the future of Samsung?: Samsung’s screen of the future is not foldable according to these renders
The guys at LetsGoDigital have posted some renderings on Samsung’s screen of the future patent . Exactly, it is, for now, just a patented idea and there is not yet (that we know of) a working device, but it gives us many clues about how the South Korean imagines the years to come.
In these images , we see a smartphone that, thanks to a kind of rails at the bottom, manages to double its size by up to 50%. In this way, we could have a hybrid between smartphone and tablet to be able to choose the inches that we need at all times.
The patent does not specify the way in which this screen behaves, perhaps by means of a rollable system, but what there is no doubt is that it would be a very practical solution (and perhaps even more useful than folding ones).
Is this the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S11?
There is no information about it and although the source of this news mentions that this could be the case, the truth is that it would be very strange for Samsung to risk so much in its first flagship of 2011. It is true that the S family has not been surprising for years and precisely the lack of innovation has been one of the most criticized issues, but such a big jump could take its toll.
