Snipping in Windows 11: how this popular tool works
Windows 11 comes loaded with news and one of them refers to one of those tools that is simpler in the operating system but which, at the same time, is the one that can be used the most. This is the new Cutouts , which comes with a facelift and with some functions that will allow us to get more out of it.
Snipping Changes in Windows 11: Snipping in Windows 11: how this popular tool works
In the first place, and almost anecdotally, we see a new icon and an interface also with change in this Windows 11, to adapt more to the design styles of this new version of the Microsoft operating system for PC.
Now, the user can have more control over their cuts. In addition to the basic options that we already had in old versions, we see a menu organized so that the cropping mode can be configured before doing it , in addition to having more format options when saving them, it even allows us to copy and paste where we need it, without having to save it as a file. Another novelty is that it allows a temporary postponement of the capture.
We also find very practical the fact that, now, in this new Cutouts for Windows 11, we will see the area that is not selected to capture a darker tone, so that we can better define the cutout area by seeing exactly what we will enter our capture.
It has been Panos Panay , director of Windows, in charge of showing a small preview of what is coming with Windows 11 and more specifically with this Snipping tool that we use so much … even without being aware of it. We leave you the video so you can see it in better detail.
