The city of Rome has many neighborhoods full of things to discover!
Rome has geographical subdivisions that are interesting to visit. However, if you go away for a few days, you may not have time to visit them all and you may not know where to stay. Here’s a description of  the most interesting neighborhoods in Rome  to visit!

The old quarter: The best neighborhoods in Rome to visit

One of the most famous and popular tourist attractions in Rome is, of course, the neighborhood that contains the ruins of the Roman Empire. It is in this neighborhood where we find the Colosseum of ancient Rome , an emblematic monument of the city, located in the center of Rome. The Colosseum can be visited and we recommend it!
Right next door, you can also visit the Roman Forum to enjoy a historical tour of the Roman heritage. There are ancient treasures like temples, statues, and buildings dedicated to each Roman emperor.
This neighborhood is easily accessible by metro  and there you can also discover the hills of the Palatine Hill and the Capitol. It is impossible to make a trip to Rome without visiting these valuable remains!

The Vatican

The historic center

Walking north, you will find the Plaza de España, the Villa Borghese and its Borghese Gallery and also some very famous fountains. Going further east, you will reach Trastevere with its famous Piazza Santa Maria. There is much to discover in the city of Rome!
