Motorola’s innovative and nostalgic folding mobile confirms its launch in Spanish territory, being available from January 31. The Motorola Razr resurrects the design that led the legendary Motorola Razr V3 to conquer the market many years ago, but modernizes it with the addition of a hinged screen capable of folding in half, also featuring a secondary screen on the back cover. .

As we had explained on a previous occasion, the Motorola Razr is characterized by having a 6.2-inch flexible pOLED screen , which can be folded in half as if it were an old mobile with a cover. However, the panel incorporates a notch to house the front camera and a call speaker.

This screen offers a resolution of 2,142 x 867 pixels as a result of its 21: 9 aspect ratio. At the rear it consists of a 2.7-inch gOLED secondary screen . The latter has a resolution of 600 x 800 pixels (4: 3) and is useful for viewing notifications and giving quick responses when the mobile is folded.

Under the lid it has a Snapdragon 710 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage to boost the terminal. It is not exactly a high-end mobile in terms of performance, but this is not the goal of Motorola despite what the price may lead us to believe.

Likewise, the terminal runs Android 9 Pie without a custom interface and is powered by a 2,510mAh battery that falls short by modern standards, although its 15-watt fast charge via USB-C serves to mitigate this drawback.

In photographic terms, we are looking at a single 16MP rear camera with f / 1.7 aperture and electronic image stabilization. Meanwhile, the front camera only has a 5MP sensor with f / 2.0 aperture and 1.12 micron pixel size. Moving on to the connectivity department, the Motorola Razr bypasses the SIM tray in favor of using eSIM to offer 4G LTE. The rest of the standards are: NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5 . Unfortunately, it does not have a 3.5mm audio jack.

Availability and price of the Motorola Razr

The Motorola Razr will be ready to be pre-ordered from January 31 in Spain. It will go on sale to the general public on February 10 for a price of 1,599 euros through the operators Movistar, Orange and the online store El Corte Inglés . It will not have additional memory or color variants.
