This is the patent of a new folding smartphone from Huawei
Just a few days ago we told you the news of the delay in the launch of the Huawei Mate X and now we already have on the table the patent of what could be the second folding smartphone of the brand . Without a name and without more details than a few sketches and renders based on them, we see a significant design change that could be very interesting.
The patent of a possible successor to the Mate X, Huawei’s folding smartphone is leaked: This is the patent of a new folding smartphone from Huawei
It seems that companies continue to bet because the future goes through flexible screens and proof of this is that, without the Mate X being still on the market, there is already a patent on the table of how a new model could be.
In addition to the ever-existing advancements in hardware, we are also seeing a significant design change . We see specifically three options of how this new direction of direction could be.
They differ from each other fundamentally by the presence of edges in the lower or upper part, to house the front camera or the different sensors. The opening of the screen, in all cases, is carried out both on the right and on the left side, which could allow us (depending on the game that is allowed at the software level) to have up to three screen sizes: fully folded, displaying only one part or displaying both.
Are patents a definitive design?
No. This type of information helps us to know some of the options that are being considered within the design team, but the final model that reaches the market may be totally different.
For now, although it is curious to see these patents for a possible Mate X 2, we have to wait for Huawei’s first folding smartphone, the Huawei Mate X , to land on the market so that we can test it first-hand.
