The manufacturing company has included a suite of user protection and parental control functions called “Smartphone  protection ” , which uses a detection algorithm that works on both images and videos, detecting risque content; although it should be noted that it only analyzes photos / videos taken from the Tone e20 camera. 

Regarding the rationale behind this function, the company says that it is designed for parents or guardians to control their children , as well as to “protect children from predators.” 

But this is not all that the  Tone  e20 can do, since -in addition to the spicy photo detection system- the device can be linked to the smartphone of a parent or representative , who will receive an alert if their child or represented tries to remove themselves. a nude. As if that were not enough, the terminal will send the photo that has been tried to be taken to the representative user (parents / guardians), although previously censored, of course. Such a photo is not stored on any server worth adding. If the owner wishes, all these functions can be deactivated and the device would be like any other mobile on the market.
