Sebastián Meinecke began a great adventure in 2013 when his passion for making bicycles led him to design a lot of them, each with a different detail. For 2014, the goal of using his art to multiply ecological awareness was set, this involved developing a bicycle that combined technical refinements with details without sacrificing the individual essence, thus the idea of ​​Urwahn and its flagship model, the Platzhirsch, was born. 

With the firm intention of inspiring people while fulfilling their dream, the inspiration for an innovative city bike emerged in 2015 using the phase-oriented process model of integrated design engineering. By merging design with functionality and with the use of special construction materials, he was able to request industrial property rights. The rest is history… 

From a dream to Platzhirsch  : Urwahn’s Platzhirsch, an electric bike madness

One of those bicycles is the Platzhirsch , its star model, the Spanish translation would be something like “alpha male deer”. This beauty of two wheels has a precise electric acceleration that is obtained thanks to a 250W motor in the rear wheel , it is supported by a battery integrated directly into the down tube, which guarantees a range of up to 80 km . To make it more striking, it has the option of adding a range extender that makes it ideal for urban routes that can reach an extra 60 km. 

At the driving level, the “alpha male deer” navigation can be done digitally through an application, additionally for night hours it has LED headlights that clearly show the user the route. To all these benefits is added a steel chassis designed to provide comfort to the driver and give this beautiful machine an air of distinction. 

Describing other elements that accompany the Platzhirsch is a delight, we can start by talking about the lighthouse, which is compatible with stVZO and is weather resistant. Additionally it sports a 5-point taillight also compatible with stVZO to provide safety, this is powered by the battery. Another element worth highlighting is the power that from its 40Nm can provide an electrical assistance of approximately 25km per hour.
