Valve’s green light to Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection: the adventures of Gordon Freeman will return with a facelift
One of the best and most important projects that Valve has launched in its history is the Half-Life franchise . The first two installments of our friend Gordon Freeman are a real wonder and the arrival of Half-Life last year : Alyx showed that his universe still has a lot to say.
Now, thanks to SteamDB and the subsequent confirmation from journalist Tyler McVicker , we have been able to know that Gabe Newell’s company has given the go-ahead to Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection . It is a work done by fans that, as the title says, presents a fine-tuning to the second game in the saga.

For now, this remastering will include the first and second episodes , leaving the third out of the equation, since it was created by users outside the company. It is important to note that we can have confidence in the project, since we are before the same team that created Half-Life 2: Update , another free update that corrected and improved the work.
Without a specific release date , we are also unclear if there will be support for current features such as ray tracing, so we will have to wait. Of course, what we do know is that it is not the beginning of Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection , but that it has been in development for some time.
