Vivo S7t, a familiar face, but with Dimensity 820 chip on board
For Asian companies of the stature of vivo, smartphone launches never stop, even if that means launching very similar terminals. They have recently brought out the vivo S7t , a mid-range terminal that is very familiar to us, and that is because it is an improved version of the vivo S7 that hit the market in August 2020.
The main novelty here is the Dimensity 820 chip , which replaces the Snapdragon 765G present in the original model. With that said, it’s time to review your proposal.

Perhaps its external design is repetitive, but the vivo S7t makes up for it with its price-quality ratio. In this sense, it sports a glass back cover with a gradient effect and a square module for the cameras, where you can see a fairly large main sensor accompanied by two smaller lenses and an LED flash.
If we turn it over, we can see a screen with AMOLED technology and a size of 6.44 inches. It should be noted that this panel consists of a fingerprint reader and exhibits FullHD + resolution , as well as a traditional refresh rate (60Hz).
Obviously the presence of a notch with two front cameras attracts attention, but not in a positive way, since some consider this notch design outdated.
Leaving appearances aside, inside we are dealing with a fairly competent device; being powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 820 chip , which also provides 5G connectivity to the smartphone. Accompanying the SoC we will find 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, this being the only memory configuration available. And to power the device, there is a battery with a capacity of 4,000mAh and fast charging of 33W .
As expected, the operating system of turn is Android 11, but with the manufacturer’s OriginOS interface on top, of course.
For photographic needs, the vivo S7t responds with a triple camera on the back and a double camera on the front. The rear end lineup is led by a 64MP main sensor with f / 1.89 aperture , and is accompanied by an 8MP (f / 2.2) wide-angle lens alongside a 2MP (f / 2.4) depth sensor.
Furthermore, the camera selfies is constituted by a main sensor 48MP (f / 2.0) and a wide angle lens 8MP (f / 2.2).
Availability and price
The Mediatek chipset may be a bit more powerful than the Snapdragon 765G, but the company is selling the vivo S7t for exactly the same price as the regular vivo S7: 2,598 yuan, which is roughly $ 400 or € 335 to change.
As usual, there is still no confirmation on a launch in Europe or other territories, so we will have to wait and have a little hope.
