Vivo V21 and V21 5G, mid-range with OIS on the selfie camera
Vivo has just released a new and impressive mid-range terminal, or rather two, since it comes in a 4G and a 5G variant. In this sense, we are talking about the vivo V21 and V21 5G, which stand out for incorporating a 44MP selfie camera with optical image stabilization, as well as other incentives in the photographic field that we will know later. Without further ado, let’s get started.
I live V21: Vivo V21 and V21 5G, mid-range with OIS on the selfie camera
The vivo V21s do not stand out for their appearance, but that does not mean that they look bad, quite the opposite, they present a glass back cover with a gradient effect, combining shades of blue and pink in an aesthetic way . In general, it is a minimalist and slim design (just 7.29mm thick).
Ahead it has a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD + resolution and even more interesting: 90hz refresh rate. Here you can find the fingerprint reader and the front camera in a notch that is not at all discreet.
Inside it lies a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chip accompanied by 8GB of RAM and up to 128 / 256GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage. It should be noted that only the vivo V21 5G has the necessary modem to connect to said network. Also, the terminal consists of Extended Ram, a technology that allows you to allocate 3GB of storage as RAM, something that in theory is similar to the paging file on a PC.
In another vein, a 4,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging is responsible for powering the vivo V21 and V21 5G. According to vivo, 63% of the charge can be recovered in half an hour.
At the level of connectivity, we find the usual in this market segment: dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB type C and 5G SA / NSA in the case of the 5G variant.
Cameras
The main attraction of the vivo V21 lies in its 44MP selfie camera , which is accompanied by two LED flashes and more importantly: optical image stabilization technology together with EIS. These features allow you to take advantage of an extreme night mode, which significantly reduces noise in low light conditions using an intelligent algorithm. However, everything seems to indicate that using optical stabilization in selfie mode limits the capture quality to Full HD.
For its part, the main camera uses a triple configuration headed by a 64MP sensor also with OIS . Accompanying him you will find an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f2.2 aperture and, finally, a macro lens with 2MP resolution and F2.4 aperture.
Availability and price
At the moment, both the vivo V21 and its 5G version are exclusive to Malaysia, where they have a price equivalent to 322 euros to change. There is still no news pointing to a launch in other markets, but we suspect that it is only a matter of time until it happens.
