Vivo X60 and X60 Pro, high-end with Exynos 1080 chip and camera with gimbal
Xiaomi is not the only manufacturer that had a surprise in store for the end of 2020, since vivo also had its own ace up its sleeve: the vivo X60 and its older brother, the vivo X60 Pro . These high-end flagships are characterized by a powerful Exynos 1080 chip provided by Samsung, and on top of that they employ a gimbal for the camera , which greatly improves stability.
Both terminals are very similar to each other, with the main differences being in the form of the screen, the memory variants and the photographic configuration. If you are interested in knowing them in greater detail, we invite you to continue reading.
I live X60 : Vivo X60 and X60 Pro, high-end with Exynos 1080 chip and camera with gimbal
Both the vivo X60 and the X60 Pro have a 6.56-inch screen with AMOLED technology, FullHD + resolution (2,376 x 1,080 pixels), a fingerprint reader and, more interestingly, a refresh rate of 120Hz . As if that were not enough, it supports content with high dynamic range (HDR10 +). The difference between one model and the other is that the Vivo X60 Pro has a curvature on the panel, while the screen of the base model is flat.
At the center of the experience we will find the Exynos 1080 5nm chip manufactured by Samsung , a curious choice that stands out a lot in a market governed by SoCs from Qualcomm or MediaTek. The SoC is accompanied by a Mali G78 GPU and the following memory configurations:
- 8GB + 128GB
- 8GB + 256GB
- 12GB + 256GB
Unfortunately, the vivo X60 series lacks a Micro-SD slot to expand the internal storage. On the other hand, what it does have is a 4,300mAh battery compatible with 33W fast charging .
At the operating system level, both terminals run Android 11 under vivo’s OriginOS user interface . And in terms of wireless connectivity we have: 5G, 4G, Wi- Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS.
The camera gives a lot to talk about, not only is it a triple camera headed by a 48MP sensor with f / 1.48 aperture , but also said sensor consists of a stabilizing gimbal that will help a lot when shooting video. In addition, it is signed by ZEISS.
This camera is accompanied by a 13MP wide-angle lens with a 120 ° field of view and macro focus. Finally, there is a third sensor of the same resolution as the previous one, but dedicated to depth with aperture f / 2.56. Meanwhile, the selfie camera offers 32MP and f / 2.45 aperture .
I live X60 Pro
The X60 Pro is not much different from its base version; In addition to the shape of the screen (curved), the terminal consists of a lower capacity battery (4,200mAh) and is only available in one memory configuration: 12GB of RAM along with 256GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage.
Without a doubt, the most important change is in the camera, since it adds a fourth 8MP sensor with f / 3.4 lens and periscope function, bringing 5x optical zoom and 60x hybrid zoom to the whole . Obviously the price of this device is also higher, but beyond that there are no differences.
If you find it disappointing as a Pro version, don’t worry, since in January 2021 the company will launch a vivo X60 Pro + with a Snapdragon 888 chip on board.
