Teaching English as a private teacher may be your main activity or it may simply be something you do to get some extra money. In any case, you must know how to teach .
Depending on your studies, you will have to choose the type of students and the level of the language that you are capable of teaching. Obviously, an English class for a primary school child is not the same as for an adult who wants to improve your speaking skills to find a good job.
In relation to the latter, the ideal is that you know perfectly the academic program corresponding to the level of your students so that you are able to answer all their questions, propose exercises according to their level and thus optimize the student’s learning process. Feel free to ask them questions to make sure they understand everything you have explained to them.
A fundamental tip is to prepare the classes in advance and make sure that they will last the right time and that they are well adapted to the needs and objectives of each student. Ideally, the classes are both formal so that your students learn as much as possible, as well as interesting and interactive so that everything is more enjoyable and motivation does not wane.
Finally, keep in mind that it is better that the classes are always in English , unless the student does not understand something in particular, such as a somewhat more complex aspect of grammar.

The first thing you have to do is register with the Treasury , presenting form 037 to register with the IAE (Tax on Economic Activities). It is free and from this moment you can start your activity and issue invoices. Then, you have to register with the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA), presenting the TA0521 form in a Social Security administration . Find out about the different discounts that you may have the right to benefit from. Once this is done, you must inform yourself about how you have to declare your income (invoices, quarterly declarations …).
Finally, another alternative would be to get a job in private institutions such as a language academy, for example. In this case, you would have to send your CV to the establishments that interest you and pass an interview to get the job. You would not have to worry about anything else, because you would have a fixed salary that the institution would pay you.
