In June 2018, Xiaomi introduced the  Redmi 6 and Redmi  6A to the market , two groundbreaking entry phones with excellent features for their price. And now,  Redmi  -as an independent brand- has quietly announced the successor of the latter, the  Redmi  7A , whose main novelty is the presence of a Snapdragon 439 chip . Although we still do not know the price that this mobile will have, we already know the rest of the features, although we have no doubt that it will be very affordable and attractive in its respective segment.

First of all, we have that the  Redmi  7A sports a 5.45-inch LCD screen with an 18: 9 aspect ratio and HD + resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels . The panel design is quite standard -as can be expected from its price range- and lacks a  notch  or punch  hole  to house the front camera, instead, we will find the typical thick frames both at the top and the bottom. 

The terminal comes with a  P2i nano-coated polycarbonate chassis to resist splashing water, and also with  rubber sleeves so that water does not seep inside. The latter protect the SIM slot, the Micro-USB port and the 3.5mm audio jack. Finally, the Xiaomi  Redmi  7A has size dimensions of 146.30 x 70.41 x 9.55mm and a weight of only 150 grams. 

Hardware and Features 

The  Redmi  7A is powered by a 1.95Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 439 chip and runs Android 9 Pie with the MIUI 10 interface on top. On the other hand, the company did not confirm the amount of RAM or internal storage that the terminal will have, but apparently, we assume that it will come with at least 2GB of RAM + 16GB of ROM. In another vein, the  Redmi  7A is powered by a generous 4,000mAh battery with a 10W charge.  

In the photographic department, the mobile is equipped with a unique 13MP rear camera with LED flash and artificial intelligence functions, such as PDAF fast focus, beauty mode and background blur. Meanwhile, on the front it houses a 5MP  selfie  camera with face unlock. 

Redmi  7A availability and price
