After several weeks of leaks, Xiaomi has finally officially presented the Xiaomi Mi CC9 for international markets under the name Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite , and in this way, the Mi 9 Lite becomes the most recent addition to the series. Mi 9. Likewise, Xiaomi has confirmed its price and launch date in Spain and other European markets, which is why it is worth knowing this mid-range-premium terminal with spectacular features.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite is in essence a Xiaomi Mi CC9, therefore, the only thing that changes is its name. In this sense, the terminal has a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels , which exhibits a 91% screen-to-body ratio. It has a  notch  in the shape of a drop of water and a built-in fingerprint reader. 

It is worth noting that the screen has  fifth-generation Corning  Gorilla Glass protection , which offers resistance against scratches and bumps. The same can be said for the glass on the back of the terminal, which also has a curvature for ergonomic reasons. The device has a thickness of only 8.7mm and a weight of 179 grams, so it is a light and slim mobile. 

To finish with this section, it is worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite is available in three colors: pearl white, aurora blue and onyx black  . 

Technical characteristics 

Beneath its sleek, youth-friendly look lies hardware that won’t disappoint demanding users. This aspect is characterized by a powerful Snapdragon 710 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 64 / 128GB of internal storage. Likewise, the Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite is powered by a battery with a capacity of 4,030mAh and a fast charge of 18 watts, which allows to recover 43% of its capacity in just 30 minutes. 

In the software department, it has MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie , as would be expected from any Xiaomi terminal in 2019.  

Moving on to the field of connectivity, we find that it has multifunctional NFC , as well as a 3.5mm and infrared headphone jack, which adds to the always present 4G connectivity options,  dual-band Wi- Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and navigation. GPS ( Glonass  and Galileo). 

48MP triple camera and artificial intelligence 

Xiaomi describes the Mi 9 Lite as an Instagram-friendly device, and to make it clear it has a triple camera, where the main sensor is 48MP with aperture f / 1.8 , the secondary is a 118 ultra-wide angle lens with 8MP, and the third and last is a 2MP depth sensor.  

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite’s camera uses 1.6um Super Pixel technology capable of combining 4 pixels into one , allowing more light to be captured in night shots  . Additionally, the Skyscaping function   powered by artificial intelligence can change the sky in photos, thus transforming a cloudy day into a sunny one. 

For its part, the 32MP front camera also uses Super Pixel technology , but it can also take   panoramic selfies and merge three shots into a single photo, being useful to not leave anyone out of the picture. 

Availability and price of the Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite 

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite will be on sale next September 20 for a price of 319 euros in its 6GB + 64GB version, while the 6GB + 128GB variant will be sold for 349 euros in mid-October. 

In this vein, the first variant will be available through Mi. com  and the Mi  Stores , then it will reach other official Xiaomi channels, the same applies for the 6GB + 128GB version, which will also reach the authorized sales channels of  Movistar  and Yoigo.
