If we talk to you about the latest Xuande or Red Star mobile  , surely you have no idea of ​​the brand we are referring to. These are the names that were considered in their day for the almighty  Xiaomi . Finally, they were discarded for different reasons, but it leaves us a curious anecdote to remember now that we are celebrating ten years since the launch of the company to the technology market.

It has been its own CEO,  Lei Jun , who has confirmed what were the names that were put on the table when it came time to name the company. Finally, the chosen one was Xiaomi, above the other two proposals that sounded louder and that became “finalists” in the company’s internal leagues.

The choice was justified for various reasons. On the one hand,  Red Star generated certain problems with the registration of the trademark, so they decided to discard it to avoid conflicts. On the other hand, regarding  Xuande they decided that he had no musicality and was not a name that provided “hook”.

Finally, Xiaomi was chosen  , a name that sounded good and that also contains two meanings: MI stands for Mission Impossible and Mobile Internet. It is precisely the first option that hits the company the most. After ten years in the market, Xiaomi has achieved what seemed like a truly impossible mission: to conquer the world of technology with devices in which value for money prevails. In addition, its line of business has been expanding to other sectors and we already find everything from Xiaomi backpacks to very crazy gadgets, such as Xiaomi rice cookers.
