As some may know, OnePlus started betting on the mid-range a year ago, bringing mobile phone advances to the masses, or at least that’s what the company is saying. Be that as it may, this has brought us the  OnePlus Nord 2 5G , a flagship for the mid-range with a strong emphasis on photography as can be seen from its 50MP main sensor. However, it also constitutes a very round and balanced offer; equipped with a Dimensity 1200-AI chip, 5G connectivity and a large screen. With that said, it’s time to get to know him in a little more detail. 

OnePlus Nord 2 5G : OnePlus Nord 2 5G, OnePlus stomps in the mid-range

First of all, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G sports a 6.43-inch Fluid Amoled screen , which offers a FullHD + resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate; hence the reason for putting “Fluid” in the name. It has a small hole for the selfie camera and incorporates the device’s fingerprint reader. 

Moving on to aesthetics, the terminal will be available in 3 color presentations: blue, green and gray. Regardless of the color, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G has a scratch-resistant back texture. 

Beneath its sleek cover lies a powerful 6nm Dimensity 1200 chip with artificial intelligence capabilities, 5G connectivity, and accompanying 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. However, there is also a version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM for the most demanding. 

The 4,500mAh battery also deserves a mention, and while it has a standard capacity, it has a 65W Warp Charge fast charge. According to the manufacturer, you can charge the device to 100% in as little as 30 minutes (from 0%). 

It is not a surprise to anyone that OxygenOS 11.3 based on Android 11 is the operating system of this terminal. 

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G can boast a 50 MP triple AI camera system with Sony IMX766 sensor , Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), and plenty of artificial intelligence “magic”. The secondary sensor is an 8MP ultra-wide and lastly, we have a 2MP monochrome sensor. For its part, the selfie camera mounts a 32MP sensor with a pixel size of 0.8 microns. 

The photographic section promises a world with its Ultra Night Landscape mode , Video Enhancement by AI and Group Photography 2.0. 

Availability and price 

In Spain the OnePlus Nord 2 5G will arrive on July 28 through the  official website of OnePlus  and Amazon.com. The base version (8GB + 128GB) will be priced at 399 euros, while the 12GB + 256GB version will cost 499 euros. It is worth noting that it will only be marketed in two colors in this region, and those are gray and blue.
