At MWC 2019 there was a device that especially caught the attention of most of the media gathered there: the Energizer mobile with 18,000 mAh , a smartphone that promised us plenty of battery in exchange for a very unaesthetic design. This fair was his letter of introduction to obtain the  necessary financing to go to the market. However, two months later, they have only managed to raise 1% of what they needed and their managers have already announced that  it will not be put on sale.

Good concept, bad design: Consumers don’t want Energizer’s 18,000 mAh phone: Energizer’s mobile with 18,000 mAh fails miserably

The  battery and its  autonomy is one of the main concerns of consumers. Energizer thought they had found the solution: to  manufacture the mobile with the largest battery in the world , a prototype that looked more like a powerbank than a mobile phone and that reminded us of those early stages in which mobile phones were only used to talk or to use them as a deadly throwing weapon.

The company was careful to include some of the latest innovations on the market, such as a triple rear camera or a double retractable front camera. However, none of this was enough for the Respectable to agree to carry a mobile phone with a thickness of 18 mm in his pocket  .

This has been the main reason why the  Energizer P18K  has obtained only  1% of the necessary collection . They tried to get over a million euros on  IndieGogo , but the final figure has barely amounted to  13,384 euros . Only 11 people have shown interest in the project, which, unfortunately, is canceled.

And it is that in the posture era the consumer not only looks for good specifications, but the design also matters. And a lot. It seems that when it comes to technology, beauty is not only on the inside.
