The game will have factions to choose from, based on The Division, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

The promise is debt and Ubisoft has presented the new game of its warlike universe par excellence: Tom Clancy’s XDefiant . It is a free shooter announced for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S as well as for PS4, Xbox One and PC; where 2 teams of 6 players will battle in an arena for victory. The title is held by Ubisoft San Francisco , with Mark Rubin at the helm as executive producer.

 

The game does not have a release date yet.Players will be able to choose one of 4 factions : the Outcasts and Cleaners from The Division 2 , Echelon from Splinter Cell, and the Wolves from Ghost Recon: Breakpoint . Ubisoft confirmed the arrival of new factions in the future, and each will come with their own set of abilities that the player can customize, including weapons , gadgets, and more.

While the gameplay approaches “hero shooters,” Ubisoft guarantees that gunplay has been its “highest priority,” offering realistic and satisfying handling with a growing arsenal of weapons and accessories. So far, 2 game modes have been announced: Escort and Domination . The title will have quite a few maps available, rotating from time to time to increase the diversity of the games.

 

XDefiant will have a closed beta on August 5 , and if you are interested in participating, you can enter your information on this site . There is still no confirmed release date , as the developers will first seek the opinion of the players, to make sure that the title is in optimal condition from its first day. This is another commitment to the F2P from the French company, who also work in The Division: Heartland , among other projects.
