Honor has just presented us, without making any noise, its new Honor Waterplay 8 , the renewal of its Waterplay , the tablet launched last year and now comes with new and interesting features. Among them, the two most prominent are precisely those that we anticipate in the headline of this news: its resistance to water and its double lens.

As its name suggests, the Honor Waterplay 8 has an  8-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and a density of 283 dpi . It is not the best on the market, but considering that we are facing a fairly inexpensive model, it is a panel that will leave us more than satisfied.

Inside, a Kirin 659 appears first,  acting  as a processor (the same one that mounts, for example, the Honor 9 Lite or the Huawei P20 Lite . Accompanying it, we have 4 GB of RAM memory  and two variants of internal storage ( 64 GB or 128 GB ). The pretty face is put by  Android 8.0  as the operating system, tuned, how could it be otherwise, by  EMUI 8.0 . There is no news about the arrival of Pie on this device.

As for the photographic section, although it is not usually the strength of the tablets, we find a double rear lens of  13 MP + 5 MP , thanks to which we can play with the blur effect also from this large screen device , and a front of 8 MP  with focal aperture 2.0. Also speaking of the multimedia section we can make use of a  stereo speaker system signed by Harman Kardon. 

Finally, as extras, the presence of an essential  fingerprint and its resistance to water stands out. It is not the most extreme, but its IP67 certificate  protects us a lot against dust and water.

Perhaps what can be shorter in this Honor Waterplay 8 tablet is the battery, which has a capacity of  5,100 mAh although, yes, they have not forgotten to incorporate  fast charging .

Honor Waterplay 8 availability and price

For now, the Honor Waterplay 8 remains in the Chinese market, where it will be released on  November 6 with a price that will oscillate, at the change, between  189 euros and 240 euros , depending on the internal storage that we choose and also if we want that have LTE connectivity or WiFi only.
