Throughout his career, the water monster has become a  symbol of Japan; in fact, there is a giant Godzilla in the Toho cinema in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Tokyo Sonata

Tokyo Sonata  is a Dutch-Japanese film released in 2008 and directed by  Kiyoshi Kurosawa . It tells the story of a middle-class family living in the Japanese capital, Tokyo. The father begins by losing his job, the son joins the army, the other wants to become an artist, and the mother has an extramarital affair: all this leads to the tragic dissolution of the family.
The film received several awards, including the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. If you like dramas, we recommend it!
