Xiaomi continues to expand its already vast catalog of products through its collective financing platform, Youpin, which introduces us to the new Xiaomi Mi Reader electronic reader , a device that follows in the wake of the Amazon Kindle but with the respective touch of the popular Chinese manufacturer. .

The Xiaomi Mi Reader offers an e-ink screen with a size of 6 inches and a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels . In addition, it has a density of 212 pixels per inch and a built-in LED headlight with 24 adjustable levels that can achieve more than 90 percent brightness uniformity.

The Xiaomi Mi Reader is powered by a quad-core  Allwinner  B300 processor with a speed of 1.8Ghz. In addition, it has 1GB of RAM paired with 16GB of internal storage , which should be enough to store up to 5,000 books. 

This device runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system , which accepts a variety of formats such as PPT, TXT, PDF, DOC, XLS, and EPUD. Additionally, it offers users the option of logging in through their WeChat or Xiaomi account to have their library  synced  across multiple devices. 

It has a built- in 1800 mAh battery with a USB Type-C port and its total weight is 178 grams, which means it can be moved from one place to another easily and safely.

Availability and price of the Xiaomi Mi Reader 

The cost of this device is around 579 yuan, which is equivalent to 74.63 euros to change, the Xiaomi Mi Reader will be available through Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform from November 20 onwards.  

Once the Crowdfunding is finished, the Xiaomi Mi Reader will have a value of 599 yuan or (77 euros) and with shipments starting on December 18. Regarding international availability, this is the only detail that remains to be confirmed by the Chinese company.
