Visiting Mount Fuji is clearly not the most expensive activity you can do in Japan and it is one of the most enriching experiences!
Attempting to climb Mount Fuji comes at a price, so know in advance what budget is needed to visit the Fujisan . In fact, a total of  300,000 people  climb to the top each year during the mountain’s opening period, between July and September.
First of all, it is advisable to include in your budget the price of a  Madrid-Tokyo flight  to go to Japan. The month of July is high season in Japan and you will have to book well in advance so that they are not too expensive and have a place.

Once you are in the Japanese capital, you just have to go to the famous Mount Fuji to join the hikers to travel its volcanic paths. To do this, you have  several options  available:
By bus: it takes two and a half hours and costs around € 40.
By train: it takes 2 hours and costs around € 60.
You can also get to Mount Fuji from  Kyoto or Osaka , so it’s up to you to see which city you prefer to visit before or after your visit to this 3776-meter-high mountain. If you have a  JR Pass , it is better to take the train, but if not, the bus is the best option.
Once there, you must find  accommodation . You can choose between low cost accommodation from € 40 per night or hotels that can go up to € 130 for a standard room. A good idea is to search the AirBnb site for the best rental home accommodation deals.
Your total budget should also include food . You will find very cheap and very expensive restaurants: you choose according to your budget. If you can afford it, try Teppanyaki restaurants  for a unique culinary discovery.
